Week two of playing LOL and they took my main man Taric from me, how could they, we were bros, we had a special handshake and everything. Goodnight sweet prince, gone but not forgotten.
In his place I had a bunch of new champions some of whom are a bit too weird for my liking, the blood tossing guy just freaks me out. Hasn’t he heard of HIV? I mean slaughtering each other in the fields of justice is one thing, spreading a life crippling disease is another.
Just like last week we have one clear winner as my favourite champion. The lovely Lady of Luminosity, Lux. Lux is the first character I’ve played for multiple games with a skillshot (or 4) and they are a lot of fun. Sure I missed a lot at the start (sometimes comically, point blank laser beam misses. Faceplam) but once I got the hang of it my kills/assists felt more satisfying and exciting, some people would probably say more skilful……
I enjoy the poking style of range champions more than melee. With melee champions I tend to get caught up in one thing or another and get killed before I even realise I was under attack. Continually poking with Lux’s E and Q is a fun way of keeping enemies at bay as I pick up last hits. Using the root and the slow to harass opponents until my team mates can go for a kill is the best part of playing Lux, except of course the giant laser finisher from off screen. If other players are in anyway similar to me, they are definitely raging as they can’t run away from a fight quickly enough. Champions with ways of messing with opponents are fast becoming my favourite, I hope next week has some quirky free characters with weird play styles, like that Singed guy, he seems like a ton of fun for trolling.
I highly recommend checking out his video by dodgedlol on youtube. It shows the true beauty of Lux’s playstyle.
Lol moment of the week
While playing my first PVP game I came under attack and panicked. In my rush to get out of there I ran back towards the blue team side despite playing for the purple team (force of habit). It was a very funny moment leaving me staring at the screen thinking “oh yeah, I’m meant to go the other way”. My team was pretty chill about it, which was surprising, most of them saw the funny side. I’ve decided to stay away from PvP until I get more used to the game though.
Thanks for reading.

If you like Lux you should give Xerath and Nidalee a try when they are up. Nidalee can take some getting used to but there is nothing more satisfying than landing one of her spears, seeing the enemies health bar drop, and know there is very little they can do back to you
I’ve played against Nidalee a lot and know how annoying her spears are. Just when I think I’m safe out of the brush comes a spear.
Ability Power (ap) champions in general have really good poke. There are melee ap champs, but for the most part they are ranged. I would also recommend Jayce, in cannon form, his e+q combo can do some serious damage.
I’m going to be a total tard and just point you guys to my blog http://www.elohell101.wordpress.com which I just started. Not to steal anyone’s thunder, but if you want to learn LoL from a vet come take a look.
Just as a first glance, I really like your style of writing, your LoL jokes are fun
Keep them coming!
